The Long Term Care Pharmacy Alliance (LTCPA) represents the major national long-term care pharmacies. Together, LTCPA member companies serve four out of every five residents of long-term care facilities nationwide.

Omnicare, Inc. a Fortune 500 company based in Covington, Kentucky, is a leading provider of pharmaceutical care for the elderly. Omnicare serves residents in long-term care facilities and other chronic care settings in 47 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. Omnicare is the largest U.S. provider of professional pharmacy, related consulting and data management services for skilled nursing, assisted living and other institutional healthcare providers as well as for hospice patients in homecare and other settings.

PharMerica Corporation, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is an institutional pharmacy services company servicing healthcare facilities. PharMerica is the second largest institutional pharmacy services company in the United States based upon pro forma revenues for PharMerica’s combined businesses for the year ended December 31, 2006. As of September 30, 2007, PharMerica operated more than 120 institutional pharmacies in 40 states. PharMerica’s customers are typically institutional healthcare providers, such as nursing centers, assisted living facilities, hospitals and other long-term alternative care settings. PharMerica Corporation generally is the primary source of supply of pharmaceuticals for its customers.

Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA), headquartered in Florham, New Jersey, is the largest alternate site GPO in the country servicing the Long Term Care, Home Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy industries. MHA is also the leading Long Term Care Pharmacy Network Manager with focus on serving the Medicare D patient population. MHA also offers a variety of services to medical supply, pharmaceutical manufacturers and prescription drug plan organizations, including contract administration, marketing, and continuing education. 

GeriMed Inc., headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, offers unique contracts and services to long term care "closed door" pharmacies throughout the United States. GeriMed is a for-profit corporation organized to provide group purchasing services and programs to long term care pharmacies throughout the United States. GeriMed members consist of long term care facilities with on-site pharmacies and "closed-door" institutional pharmacies servicing only institutionalized and home care patients.
